Ingredients:
Urad Dhal - 1 cup
Ginger - Small piece
Green Chilly - 2
Raw Rice - Less- than 1/2 tbsp
Salt, Oil, water - for As reqd
Method:
- Soak dhal, rice in water for an hour.
- Strain the water and add ginger, chilly and salt.
- Grind this to a paste.
- Heat oil and make the paste into vada shapes and fry it.
- Goes good with coconut chutney and sambar.
- Can add vada to curd and garnish with chopped coriander leaves ad grated carrot and serve as thayir vada.
- If you soak the vada in sambar and add finely chopped onions and coriander leaves it is sambar vada.
