Ulundhu Vadai


Ingredients:

  Urad Dhal - 1 cup
  Ginger - Small piece
  Green Chilly - 2
  Raw Rice - Less- than 1/2 tbsp
  Salt, Oil, water - for As reqd

Method:


  •  Soak dhal, rice in water for an hour.
  •  Strain the water and add ginger, chilly and salt.
  •  Grind this to a paste.
  •  Heat oil and make the paste into vada shapes and fry it.
  •  Goes good with coconut chutney and sambar.
Note:
  • Can add vada to curd and garnish with chopped coriander leaves ad grated carrot and serve as thayir vada.
  • If you soak the vada in sambar and add finely chopped onions and coriander leaves it is sambar vada.
