Tea Kadai Sundal Vadai

 

                                        



 

                                        




Ingredients:

White Peas - 150 g
Onion - 1 (fine chop)
Tomato - 1 (fine chop)
Green Chilly - 1
Crushed Ginger - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds powder -1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Kashmiri Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Coriander leaves - As reqd
Curry Leaves - Little
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Pakodas - As reqd
Oil - 4 tbsp
Water, Salt - As reqd

Method:

  • Soak peas for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Now strain water and add peas in bowl.
  • Add water and little salt.
  • Pressure cook this for 6-7 whistles.
  • Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds.
  • Add in crushed ginger and fine chopped onion.
  • Add in curry leaves and then add tomato.
  • Add in turmeric powder and chilly and mix well.
  • Add little water and cook for 4 mins in low flame.
  • Then add spice powders, coriander leaves and boiled peas.
  • Mix well and cover and cook for 5 mins.
  • Transfer this to bowl.
  • Fry pakodas and set aside.
  • In a serving bowl add in peas gravy.
  • Top it with crushed pakodas and fine chopped raw onion.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
