Onion Samosa

 





Ingredients:

All purpose flour - 1 cup
Wheat flour - 1 cup
Onion - 1 
Red Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Fennel powder - 1/4 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Poha powder or Roasted gram powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves - Little (Fine chop)
Salt, Oil, Water - As reqd

Method:
  • In a bowl add all purpose flour, wheat flour, salt and a tsp of oil.
  • Add little water and make a soft dough as we do for chapati.
  • Knead well and apply oil on top and rest it for 10 mins.
  • Now divide it to equal size pedas (balls).
  • Dust the surface with flour.
  • And roll the dough thin.
  • Flip between hands and place it on a plate.
  • Repeat the same with remaining balls.
  • Now dust the surface with flour.
  • Place one rolled out dough.
  • Sprinkle flour and brush the corners with oil.
  • Place the other rolled out dough and repeat the same with remaining.
  • Heat a tawa and place this.
  • Flip it after a min.
  • Gently press with cloth all over to have even heat.
  • Flip and cook by pressing corners.
  • When it fluffs of transfer to plate.
  • Now trim the edges and peel carefully for layers.
  • Now cut in into half.
  • Set this aside.
  • Heat a tsp of oil and add in sliced onions.
  • After slicing cut it into half.
  • Add in ginger garlic paste.
  • Add in spice powders and salt for masala.
  • Add in coriander leaves and poha or roasted gram powder.
  • Mix well and transfer to plate.
  • Set aside to cool.
  • In a bowl add little maida and water and make a paste.
  • Now take the cut out rectangle sheet.
  • Apply maida paste in corners and fold to cone shape.
  • Add in filling and seal the edges with maida paste.
  • Heat oil in pan and fry these samosas.
