Ingredients:
Kadala maav / Besan flour - 93 g
Sugar - 150 g
Oil - 130 ml
Ghee - 130 ml
Water - 75 ml
Method:
- In a pan add ghee and oil in a bowl.
- Warm it in low flame.
- Now take 1/2 cup of this in a separate bowl.
- In other bowl add in kadala maav and pour the remaining warm ghee and oil.
- Whisk till smooth without lumps.
- Now in other pan add in sugar and water and mix well.
- Cook in medium flame till you get one string consistency.
- Now add the kadala maav mix and mix well.
- Add in reserved 1/2 cup ghee and oil to this and mix well.
- Cook in low flame till it thickens, it takes app 5 mins.
- Keep stirring.
- Now turn off range and stir the mix for 1 min.
- Pour this in a greased pan(grease a pan with ghee).
- Spread it evenly and leave it undisturbed for 15-20 mins.
- Demould and slice it.
- It yielded 9 pieces each weighed 46 g.
