VaraMilagaai Thokku


Ingredients:

Varamilagaai / Dry red chilly - 8
Tomato - 2
Garlic pods - 4-5
Small Onion - 12-15
Nalennai - 3 tbsp
Curry Leaves - a sprig
Hing - Little
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Salt, Water - As reqd

Method:


  • In a blender add chilly, garlic, onion and tomato.
  • Add required salt to this and grind this to a puree.
  • Add little water if needed.
  • Heat nalennai in a pan and add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  • Once it splutters reduce the flame and add hing and grinded puree.
  • Cook this in low flame for about 12-15 mins.
  • Varamilagai thokku is ready.
