Ingredients:
All purpose flour - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Unsalted butter - 110 g or 1/2 cup
Almonds - 1/ 2 cup
Almond esc - 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Soak almonds in hot water for about 20-30 mins.
- Remove the skin off.
- Heat a pan and dry roast this badam for few mins and set aside.
- Blend the roasted badam and sugar to a fine powder.
- Take this in a bowl and add flour to this.
- Add softened butter and esc and fold well with spatula.
- Just bring together and make a dough.
- Cling wrap this and refrigerate for an hour.
- Cut into deisred shapes and press in crushed almonds.
- Line this in a baking tray.
- Bake this in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10-12 mins.
- It will be soft out of oven and will turn crisp in a while.
