Semiya Upma #1


Ingredients:

Semiya - 1 pack
Onion - 1 (thin slices)
Green Chilly - 2
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - Little
Water, Salt, Oil - As reqd

Method:
  • Heat oil in pan and add mustard, cumin seeds and urad dal.
  • Add in curry leaves and once it splutters add onion.
  • Saute for a while and then add chillies.
  • Add semiya and saute for a while.
  • Boil water in a bowl and add to semiya
  • Add reqd salt and mix well.
  • Cover and cook in low flame for 12-15 mins.
  • Serve with coconut chutney or idly podi.
Note:
Don't add excess water.
