Ingredients:
Basmati Rice - 2 1/2 cups
Onion - 2 (thin slices)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Tomato - 2 (puree)
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt, Oil, Ghee - As reqd
Bay Leaf - 1
Cinnamon Stick - small piece
Cloves - 2
Green Elaichi - 1
Water -1/2 cup
Cocnut Milk - 2 Cup
Marinate:
Baby potato - 6-7 (cut into halves)
Cauliflower - 5 - 6 pieces
Curd - 3 tbsp
Rice flour - 1 1/2 tbsp
Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - As Reqd
Grind:
Corainder Seeds - 1 tsp
Dry Red Chilly - 2
Green Chilly - 2
Coriander Leaves - Little
Method:
- Soak basmati rice for 10 mins.
- Heat ghee in pan and sauter the rice for a while.
- Transfer this to electric cooker.
- Now grind items under "grind" and set aside.
- Before grinding just dry roast coriander seeds and dry red chilly.
- Boil a cup of water and add cauliflower for a while and close it.
- Then strain and transfer to a bowl.
- Peel baby potatoes skin and cut into halves and to same bowl.
- Add items under "marinate" to this and set aside for 10 mins.
- Heat oil in pan and fry these and set aside.
- In same oil fry half of onion and set aside.
- Now heat ghee and oil in a pan and add garam spices.
- Add onion and sauter for a while.
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a while.
- Add toamto puree and cook till raw smell goes.
- Then add grinded paste, garam masala and cook for a while.
- Add fried aloo and gobi and reqd salt and mix well.
- Add this to electric cooker.
- Now add coconut milk and water.
- Cook this for 10-15 mins.
- Once done garnish with fried onions and serve with onion raita.
Note:
You can use water alone instead of coconut milk.
