Halwa with regular sugar |
Ingredients:
Leftover Rice - 1 cup
Sugar - 3/4 cup
Milk - 3 tbsp
Elaichi powder - a pinch
Kesari color - a pinch
Cashews - 5-6
Ghee - 4 tbsp
Method:
- Heat ghee in pan and roast cashews and set aside.
- Add milk to rice and blend this to a fine paste.
- Heat ghee in pan and add blended rice.
- Cook in low flame.
- Mix well and then add sugar little by little.
- Keep stirring till it leaves the edges(halwa consistency).
- Add roasted cashews and mix well.
- Add in elaichi powder and mix well.
- Add ghee as and when required.
- Serve the yummy rice halwa.
