Channa Chutney


Ingredients:

Channa - 1/2 cup
Dry Redchilly - 2
Sesame seeds powder - 1 tbsp
Tamrind - small piece
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Oil,Salt, Water - As reqd

Method:


  • Soak channa overnight and add water and pressur cook.
  • Once pressure cooked strain water and set  aside.
  • Heat oil in pan and roast a tbsp of sesame seeds.
  • Add this to channa.
  • In same oil dry roast chilly and tamrind.
  • Add all these to a blender and add required salt.
  • Blend this to a smooth paste by adding little water at a time.
  • Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds.
  • Add this to channa chutney.
