Rava Upma

Ingredients:

Rava - 1 cup
Onion - 1 (fine chop)
Green chilly - 2 (slit)
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Channa dal - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - a sprig
Water - 2 cups
Oil, Salt - As reqd

Method:

  • Dry roast rava and set aside.
  • Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds.
  • Add in channa dal and curry leaves.
  • Add in onion and saute for a while.
  • Add in slit chillies and saute.
  • Add 2 cups of water and let it boil.
  • Add in required salt and mix well.
  • Now add roasted rava little by little and keep stirring.
  • Cover and cook in low flame.
  • For max 10-12 mins.
  • Serve with any spicy chutney or sugar.
