Ingredients:
Channa - 1 cup
Onion - 1/2 ( fine chop)
Garlic - 2
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Maida - 2 tbsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp (optional)
Coriander Leaves - Little Oil, Salt - As reqd
Method:
- Soak channa overnight or for min 8 hours.
- Now strain the water and add it in a bowl.
- Add in onion, garlic, spice powders, coriander leaves.
- Add in salt, lemon juice and maida.
- Blend this coarsely without adding water.
- Transfer this to a bowl and add baking soda and mix well.
- Now make small balls out of this dough.
- Heat oil in pan for frying.
- Fry these balls and set aside.
- Serve falafel with sauce or hummus dip.
