Ingredients:
Curry Leaves - 1 cup
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Pottukadalai - 1/4 cup
Dry Red Chilly - 4
Garlic - 4
Tamrind - small piece
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Salt, Oil, Water - As reqd
Method:
- Heat little oil in pan and add chilly and garlic and saute.
- Add tamrind piece and saute for few seconds and transfer to a bowl.
- Add washed curry leaves to this and saute for 3 mins.
- Now transfer this to bowl.
- Add coconut, salt and pottukadalai and blend.
- Add little water and blend coarsely.
- Heat little oil in pan and add mustard seeds.
- Once it splutters add it to thuvayal.
- Karuvaepillai thuvuyal goes good with idly/dosa/ rice.
