Ingredients:
Brown Channa/ Kondakadalai - 1 cup
Hing - a pinch
Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Dry red chilly - 1
Curry Leaves - a sprig
Salt,Oil, Water - As reqd
Masala:
Channa dal - 1 tbsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Dry red chilly - 2
Method:
Brown Channa/ Kondakadalai - 1 cup

Grated coconut - 1/4 cup

Masala:
Channa dal - 1 tbsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Method:
- Soak channa overnight and then add salt to it.
- Pressure cook for 5-6 whistles.
- Heat oil in pan and add items under masala.
- Saute for few mins and then blend to a fine powder.
- Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves.
- Add in dry red chilly and then boiled channa.
- Toss well.
- Add the masala, hing and mix well.
- Add the grated coconut and toss well.
- Serve hot.
