Ingredients:
Samba Godhumai rava - 1 cup
Moong dal - 1/4 cup
Black pepper corns - 10 (crush)
Cashew Nuts - 8
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - a sprig
Ginger - small piece
Hing - Little
Ghee, Salt, Water - As reqd
Method:
- Dry roast dal and transfer to a bowl.
- To the same pan add in ghee.
- Add in cumin seeds, cashew nuts, curry leaves and pepper corns.
- Add in ginger pieces and saute.
- Add this to dal.
- Add in hing and rava and mix it.
- Add in 2 1/2 cups of water.
- Pressure cook this for 3 whistles in medium flame.
- Add a tbsp of milk to retain the consistency.
- Serve hot with chutney.
