Veg Puff #1

Puff

Puff in diff shapes

Flaky layers

B4 baking
Ingredients:

Puff Pastry sheets - 8
Potato - 2
Green Peas - 2 tbsp
Carrot - 1
Onion - 1(fine chop)
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Red Chilly powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp
Salt, Oil - As reqd
Egg - 1
Milk - 1 tsp

Method:

  • Boil the veggies and strain if any water and set aside.
  • Mash them out.
  • Heat oil in pan and add onion and saute for a while.
  • Add in the mashed veggies, spice powders and salt and mix well.
  • Transfer this to bowl and set aside.
  • In a bowl break open egg and add milk and whisk it.
  • Take a puff pastry and add a spoon of filling and fold to desired shape.
  • Press the edges gently and press one edge with fork.
  • Line them in baking tray and freeze them.
  • Preheat the oven at 220°C.
  •  Apply egg wash and bake for 22-25 mins.
  • Healthy homemade veg puff ready.
