Avarakaai Poareyal



Ingredients:

Patta Avarai - 10-15
Onion - 1 (medium, fine chop)
Sambar thool - 1 tbsp
Milk - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - A sprig
Salt, Water, Oil - As reqd

Method:

  • Peel the nerve and fine chop avarai.
  • In a bowl add water and the chopped avarai.
  • Add required salt and let it boil.
  • Once boiled strain and set aside.
  • In a pan heat oil and add mustard, cumin seeds.
  • Add in curry leaves and onion and saute.
  • Add in boiled avarai and milk and saute for a while.
  • Add in sambar thool and satute.
  • Cook in medium flame for 3-4 mins.
