Oil Free Snacks - Groundnut/Channa/Papad/Vathal




Ingredients:

Iodized salt - 1 cup / 100 g
Groundnut - 1/2 cup
Brown Channa - 1/2 cup
Appalam - 1 or 2
Vathal - As reqd

Method:

  • Heat a kadai and add salt to it.
  • Cook in medium flame.
  • The salt should be hot.
  • Now add groundnuts and saute for a while like 3 mins.
  • Now use a strainer spatula and remove it off.
  • Similarly do for brown channa.
  • To the same add in appalam and fry it.
  • Do the same for vathal.
  • Oil free snacks are ready in a jiffy.
  • You can let the salt cool and store in an air tight container.
  • Can reuse the same for future frying too.
  • Refer video for the same.
