Groundnut Chutney #2

Ingredients:

Groundnuts - 1 cup
Dry Red Chilly - 3
Garlic - 2
Onion - 1
Tamrind - small piece
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Hing - Little
Curry Leaves - a sprig
Oil, Salt, Water - As reqd

Method:

  • Heat little oil in pan and add groundnuts.
  • Roast it in low flame and remove skin and set aside.
  • To the same pan add chilly, garlic and onion and saute.
  • Add the tamrind piece and mix well.
  • Now add salt and water and blend to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, hing and curry leaves.
  • Add this to chutney.
  • Serve with idly/dosa.
