Ingredients:
Vazhaithandu - 1 medium size
Dry red chilly - 3
Split moong dal - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch(optional)
Curry Leaves - Little
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Salt, Oil, Water - As reqd
Method:
- Remove the outer part of thandu and cut into small pieces.
- In a bowl take water and add little curd and mix up.
- Add thandu pieces to this.
- Now in a bowl add dal, turmeric powder and salt.
- Add thandu to this and mix nicely and set aside for few mins.
- The water will come out, strain this and keep.
- Now heat oil in pan and add mustard and cumin seeds.
- Add curry leaves and chilly and thandu mix.
- Mix all nicely, if needed you can sprinkle the strained water.
- Cook in low flame till its cooked.
