Ingredients:
Aval - 1 cup
Water - Little
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Milk - 1/4 cup
Kesri color - Little
Saffron strands - Little
Cashew nuts - 6-7(broken)
Ghee - 3 tbsp
Method:
- In a bowl add aval and add little water.
- Wash this and strain and set aside.
- In a pan add ghee and roast nuts and set aside.
- In the same pan add ghee and aval and saute.
- Add in milk and cook in low flame till aval is cooked.
- Add sugar and mix well and cook till all binds together.
- Add kesari color and ghee and keep stirring till you get halwa consistency.
- You can mash the aval.
- Add in nuts and garnish with saffron.
- Serve this quick sweet.
