Ingredients:
All purpose flour - 3 cups
Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup (melted)
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Dry yeast - 1.5 tsp
Warm water - 1/4 cup
Warm milk - 3/4 cup
Method:
- In a bowl add sugar, yeast and warm water and set aside.
- In other bowl take flour, salt and mix well.
- Once yeast is activated add it to flour and mix with a spoon.
- Now add butter, warm milk and make a dough.
- Set this aside for proofing.
- Once it doubles up in size punch down and knead.
- Use it in your recipes as required.
- You can make sweet buns, breads, stuffed braided breads/buns etc.
- Or Bake this in a preheated oven(OTG) at 180°C for 12-15 mins.
Note:
- While baking apply milk wash/egg wash.
- Once baked apply butter for glossy effect.
- Line the baking tray with butter paper.
- I made braided bread with this.
