Plantain (Vazhakaai) Chips

Ingredients:

Plantain - 2
Pepper - 2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp or As reqd
Oil - As reqd

Method:

  • Peel the skin of plantain.
  • Use chips cutter and make thin slices.
  • Place these slices in water filled bowl.
  • Heat oil in pan.
  • Drain the water and spread in a plate.
  • Add into oil and fry them.
  • Once the sizzling sound stops take them off.
  • Drain in tissue paper and transfer to airtight container.
  • Finally add in pepper and salt and toss them up.
  • Crispy chips ready.
