Ingredients:
Thoor dal - 3/4 cup
Tomato - 1/2 (fine chop)
Lady's finger - 10-12
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Sambar thool - 2 tbsp
Tamrind pulp - 1/4 cup
Hing - a pinch
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Small Onion - 8-10 (slit length wise)
Curry Leaves - A sprig
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Salt, oil - As reqd
Method:
Thoor dal - 3/4 cup

Tamrind pulp - 1/4 cup
Hing - a pinch
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp

Method:
- In a bowl add in dal, water, turneric powder and hing.
- Pressure cook this and then mash the dal and set aside.
- Rinse the lady's finger and cut top and bottom parts.
- Now chop them into small pieces.
- Heat a pan and add these chopped pieces and cook in low flame.
- Saute till turns in slight brown color.
- Heat oil in pan and in mustard,cumin and fenugreek seeds.
- Add in curry leaves and small onion and saute.
- Add in tomato and lady's finger and saute.
- Add in sambar thool and salt and mashed dal and mix well.
- Add in water and tamrind pulp.
- Cook in low flame for 5 mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
