Wheat flour - 1 1/4 cup
Maida/Rava - 1/3 cup
Salt - As reqd
Sugar - 1 tsp
Dry Yeast - 3/4 tsp
Milk powder - 1 tbsp
Luke warm water + milk - 1/2 cup + 2tbsp
Olive oil - 1 tbsp
Method:
- In a bowl add yeast, sugar and warm milk and set aside.
- In other bowl add flour, maida, salt, milk powder and mix well.
- Add in oil.
- Once yeast is activated add to the flour mixture and knead it.
- Make a soft dough and set aside for an hour to proof.
- After an hour punch the dough and roll it to a rectangle.
- Then fold and roll it rightly and make a log.
- Slightly pull at the ends and make a loaf shape as in pic.
- Use a knife and make sharp incisions.
- Line a baking tray with butter paper and dust with rava.
- Place the loaf ad give a milk wash and set aside for 30 mins.
- Once it doubles in size, brush the top again with milk.
- Bake this in a preheated oven(OTG) at 180°C for 20-22 mins.
- Now take the tray out and give a milk wash.
- Now increase the temperature to 200°C and bake for 3-4 mins.
- Once done, apply butter and allow it to cool.
- Then slice and enjoy.
