Ingredients:
Chicken - 400 g
Small Onion - 15-20
Big Onion - 1 (fine chop)
Tomato - 1(small)
Green Chilly - 5
Garlic - 10
Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tbsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp
Coconut - 1/4 cup
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Curry Leaves - A sprig
Coriander Leaves - 1/2 (from a)bunch
Salt, Oil, Water - As reqd
Method:
- Heat oil in pan and add small onions and saute.
- Then add garlic, green chilly and 1/2 of garam masala and saute.
- Add in coconut, curry leaves, coriander leaves and saute for a while.
- Let this cool and blend to a fine paste.
- Heat oil in pan and add fine chopped big onion and saute.
- Now add the tomato and saute.
- Add in chicken pieces and mix well.
- Add the spice powders other than pepper powder.
- Add in salt and then grinded paste.
- Add little water to this and mix well.
- Pressure cook this for 3 whistles.
- Once done add in pepper powder and mix well.
- Let this boil for few mins.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice/idly/dosa.
