Pappu Chutney


Ingredients:


   Garlic  - 2 or 3
   Channa dhal -1 tbsp
   Dry Red chilly - 2 -3
   Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Method:
  • Heat oil and add all the items.
  • Let it cool, then grind it.
  • Pappu chutney is ready.



Miram/Garlic Chutney #1


Ingredients:
Garlic pods - 10-15(peel the skin) 
Dry Red chilly - 4 -5
Tamrind - Small piece(cherry Size)
Curry Leaves - Handfull
Salt, Oil, Water- As reqd.
Temper - Mustard, cumin seeds.
Method: 
  • Grind all the ingredients.
  • Heat oil and add items in temper.
  • Add this to grinded one.
  • Meeram is ready and stays good for long time.

Groundnut Chutney #1


Ingredients:

Groundnuts - Fried (without salt- to ) 1 cup
Dry Red Chilli - 4
Tamrind - Small Piece(cherry size)
Salt, Water - As Reqd
Oil - 1 tbsp

Method:
  • Heat oil and fry groundnuts and keep aside.
  • Then fry chillies.
  • Add groundnut, chillies, salt, tamrind in jar, reqd water and grind it.
  • Groundnut chutney ready. Goes good with dosa and idly.
Note:
If needed you can temper it with mustard seeds.

Egg Fried Rice


Ingredients:

  Egg - 2 
  Rice - 1 cup (boiled)
  Pepper powder - 1 tbsp
  Salt, oil As Reqd.

Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add beaten egg, salt and pepper and scramble.
  • Then add rice and mix well.

Keerai Pappu & Carrot Pappu


 
Keerai Pappu:

Ingredients:

  Thoor dhal - 1 cup(increase or decrease the qty based on greens).
  Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
  Tomato - 1 (finely  chopped)
  Sambar thool - 1-2 tbsp
  Greens - 1 bunch(Wash and finely chop it)
  Salt,Oil, Water - As Reqd.
  Temper - Mustard, Cumin Seeds

Method:
  • Boil Thoor dhal(add turmeric powder and hing).
  • Mash it off.
  • Heat oil and add temper items.
  • Then add onion,tomato and saute for a while.
  • Now add greens and saute.
  • Then add dhal, water, salt, sambar thool.
  • Let it boil for a while.

Carrot Pappu : Same as above, instead of greens use 1 finely chopped and boiled carrot.
