Chicken Gravy#2

Ingredients:

Chicken - 200gms

Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Onion - 1
Tomato  - 1 
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Red Chilly powder - 1-2 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
Salt, Water, Oil - As reqd

Method:
  •   Heat oil, add onions, ginger garlic paste & chicken.
  •   Roast chicken nicely till the smell goes.
  •   Grind and  add tomato & coriander leaves.
  •   Then add red chilly powder, salt ,garam masala powder, water.
  •   Close with a lid & cook till chicken is  done & gravy thickens.

Tangy Pasta


Ingredients:
  
Pasta - 1 cup
Onion - 1 (sliced)
Tomato - 1 (sliced)
Brinji leaf - 1
Oregano - 1 tbsp
Tomato Sauce - 2-3 tbsp
Red Chilly flakes - 1/2 tbsp
Crushed pepper - 1/2 tbsp
Salt, olive oil - As reqd.

Method:
  • Heat water in a pan and add a spoon of olive oil and there pasta.
  • Cook for 7 minutes.
  • Strain water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil and add onions, capsicum, tomato and brinji leaf and saute.
  • Then add boiled pasta,origano, tomato sauce, crused pepper,chilly flakes &salt.
  • Sprinkle onion leaves and grated cheese before you serve(optional).
Note:


Variation #1:  
  • You can blanch tomatoes(boil water and add 2 tomatoes and boil).
  • Peel the skin and remove seeds.
  • Instead of chilly flakes add chilly powder / paav bhaji mix.
Variation #2:
 
 Cook pasta and just add pasta sauce to it.

Roasted Rice

Ingredients:

  Raw Rice - 1 cup
  Moong dhal - 1/4 cup
  Temper - mustard, cumin seeds, dry red chilly(3), curry leaves
  Salt, oil - As reqd.
  Water - 1 1/2 cup

Method: 
  • Heat pan and fry rice(pacharisi) till it turns in brown color, transfer to a bowl.
  • Add a handful of moon dhal to it and then add water.
  • Heat oil add tempering items.
  • Then add this to rice, then add salt and cook for 4 whistles.
  • It would be tasty and for this side dish is Coconut Thuvayal.


Papuls

Ingredients:

  Thoor dhal - 1/2 cup
  Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  Hing - a pinch 
  Garlic pods - 10 (peeled and crushed)
  Sambar thool - 1-2tbsp
  Temper - Mustard, cumin seeds, re chilly(2), curry leaves
  Tamrind water - 3-4 tbsp
  Salt, Water, Oil - As Reqd

Method:
 
  • Boil dhal by adding turmeric powder and hing. 
  • Mash it and keep aside.
  • Heat oil add tempering items.
  • Then add dhal, sambar thool, tamrind water & salt.
  • Can mix in rice and vathal is the best side dish.

Ragi Dosa

 
Ingredients:

  Ragi - 1 cup
  Rice flour - 1/2 cup
  Butter Milk - Little (optional)
  Salt, Oil - As reqd
 
Method:
  • Mix all ingredients other than oil and make a batter(dosa maav consistency).
  • If you want spicy add green chillies and onions.
  • Heat tawa and make hot ragi dosa.
