Pizza Sticks

Sliced Sticks

Ingredients:


Whole Wheat Flour  - 3 cups
All purpose flour - 3 Cups
Warm Milk - 2 cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar -  4 tsp
Olive Oil - 4 tbsp
Dry Yeast - 3 tsp
Corn - 1/2 cup
Capsicum - 1 (fine chop)
Onion - 1 (fine chop)
Grated Cheese - 1 cup
Unsalted butter - 2 tbsp
Dried Oregano - 1 tbsp + extra for sprinkling on top
Red Chilly flakes - 2 tsp
Italian Seasoning - 2 tsp
Pizza Sauce - 1/4 cup

Method:
  • Take yeast and little sugar in a bowl, Pour over little warm milk and mix well.
  • Set aside for 5 mins so it activates and get bubbly.
  • Now take wheat flour, salt and mix well. 
  • Make a well in the center, add in yeast mix.
  • Mix and make it into a little sticky dough.
  • Now add in oil and knead it for 5 to 6 mins till it gets soft. 
  • Now cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest for 1 to 2 hours. 
  • In a bowl mix capsicum. corn and onion and set aside.
  • Drain water if any.
  • Now sprinkle italian seasoing, chilly flakes and knead well.
  • Now divide it into equal balls. 
  • Now roll a ball to a rectangle shape 
  • Mark a line by diving it into half.
  • Spread the pizza sauce in one half.
  • Top it with grated cheese and the n
  • Top it with onion, capsicum and corn mix.
  • Cover it with grated cheese.
  • Cover this with other half as in pic.
  • Mark thin lines on the folded dough.
  • Seal the edges with a fork.
  • Place the dough carefully in a greased tray and brush top with oil.
  • Sprinkle seasoning over it.
  • Bake in a preheated oven(OTG) at 180°C for 5 mins.
  • And then increase the temperature to 220°C and bake for 10-12 mins.
  • Slice and serve hot.
  • Yields 27-32 pizza sticks.

Chocochip Cake



Ingredients:

Wheat flour - 1 1/2  cup
Brown Sugar - 3/4 cup
Baking soda - 3/4 tsp
Baking powder - 1/4 + 1/8 tsp
Salt - 1/8 tsp
Milk - 3/4 cup
Oil - 1/2 cup
Vanilla esc - 3/4 tbsp
Chocolate chips - 1/2 cup

Method:
  • In a bowl add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and mix well.
  • In a cup add a tbsp of above mixture and add chocochips and toss.
  • In other bowl add oil, and esc and whisk well.
  • Add in milk and mix well.
  • Add this to dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Add in chocochips and fold well.
  • Grease a pan and dust with flour.
  • Dap it and remove excess flour.
  • Pour the batter and dap the pan once.
  • Bake this in a preheated oven (OTG) at 180 for 25-28 mins.
  • Slice and enjoy.

Onion Salna

Ingredients:

Small onion - 20
Fennel powder - 3/4 tsp
Cumin powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Chilly powder - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Jaggery - Little
Tamrind Pulp - Little
Curry Leaves - A sprig
Cinnamon stick - small piece
Oil, Salt, Water - As reqd

Roast & Grind:
Groundnuts - 1 1/2 tbsp
Sesame seeds - 1 1/2 tbsp
Coconut - 2 tbsp (grated)

Method:

  • Dry roast groundnuts and when the color changes add in sesame seeds.
  • Then add coconut and saute for few mins.
  • Let this cool and blend to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in pan and add curry leaves and cinnamon stick.
  • Add in pureed onion and cook in low flame.
  • Add in spice powders and mix well.
  • Add in required water, grinded paste.
  • Mix this well and then add tamrind pulp.
  • Add in salt and jaggery and cover and cook.
  • Cook till oil oozes out.
  • Goes good with briyani/pulav.


Note:

  • If you use groundnuts with skin it gives good color.
  • Also you can add onions as such, I blended as my people like this way.
